New install with Memberpress Integration – View and Edit Profile don’t work

I have been using Memberpress successfully. I just added the BuddyPress integration. I see it takes over and wraps the account-dashboard into its own system, ok I can live with that. But – When you click Profile the View Profile and Edit Profile aren’t working.
Profile just has text saying View Profile which doesn’t do anything.
Edit profile makes no sense – it says:
Editing “Details” Profile Group
Name required
Everyone can see this
With a box for your name.
What am I missing please?
-Group invites gives me a 404 error. I just posted another post that I’m getting this message on every admin page:
“A BuddyPress page has been added for the following active BuddyPress Components which did not have associated BuddyPress Pages yet: Activity, Groups, Activate. You may need to refresh your permalink settings.”

Update:
The same things happen if I go into troubleshooting mode and disable absolutely everything but Buddy Press. I’m using the most current version of BP. Installed the current default theme Twenty Twenty Three. Same problem. Nothing in View Profile. Edit gives that group name thing.

Any ideas?

I figured this out. I needed to create fields first via Users > Profile field menu. Then they show up under the text View Profile. And in the Edit tab, then the fields are there to edit. Super easy, I just didn’t know it was there.
