Notifications for all activity?

    I might be missing something, but I expected buddypress to have notifications for group activity, messages, and all account activity. I seem to be only getting notifications that are new friend requests. Are notifications part of the buddypresss or do I need a plugin?

    I’m using the latest buddypress 1.5 and wordpress 3.3

    Default is that you receive email notifications for activity, messages, friends and groups. Go to your profile, Settings > Notifications

    I meant the notifications in the grey buddypress bar at the top of the site where you can check for activity or account info. It seems the only notifications are for requests (friends or group) and not all activity. For example if I join a group, can buddypress send a notification when there is activity in that group? Not emails, but internally in buddypress.in the notifications?
