Hey guys,

I am trying to make my site so that you can only join one group at a time! I trawled the forums and haven’t been able to find a solution – they all seem outdated.

Has anyone found a solution? Ideally when you are in one group, and try to join another, there should be a message like “Sorry, you’re already in one group, you will need to leave that group before you can join a new one”

Ideas? xx

😛 so I’ve tried that plugin – doesnt seem to work at all for me – I’ve set the number of groups someone can join to one, then tested with a user account and was able to join 4 groups with no issue…:( WHY do none of the cool plugins ever work for me lol I’ve ended up spending more on developers than what I charged the client for the site haha! typical

is there a way I can hard code that instead? any suggestions would be appreciated x

Sure you can hard code anything if you want too as long as you know what to do just make sure it is done in a child theme!

Groups Loop

As far as your issues with developers, maybe you should agree to certain things with the client and if they decide to change things after the things you agreed on are done then they will have to pay a hourly fee based on what needs to be done! Don’t ever lock yourself in to do EVERYTHING they want when some clients may be indecisive because you will loose money!

Heya!

SO im making progress! I’ve gotten the join buttons to work. Yay.

ive gotten this plugin to work kinda – now if you’re in a group and click on another to join it, it sends a message saying you can’t join another group while you’re already in one, BUT it does actually let you join the group!

Any ideas?
