Plugin for customizing the way profile fields are filtered

Hi everyone. I just wrote a small plugin to allow users to customize which words/phrases get linked in the fields of their BP profiles (overriding BP’s automatic take-whatever-is-between-commas algorithm). For now, it’s hosted on the dev blog for the CUNY Academic Commons (the project I wrote the plugin for), until I get it approved for the main WP plugin database.

btw, using this method, I think it’s possible to let users define which xprofile entry is visible only to logged in members, and not to non members. This privacy thing will be added in the core, but I just thought this plugin is a good example of that.

Make sure you tag your plugin with ‘buddypress’ so it automatically shows up in the bp plugin area.
