prevent specific user IDs from having buddypress profiles

    I am transitioning from a multi-author (but not WPMU) WP blog with “contributors” and “subscribers.” When I add BuddyPress, everyone automatically becomes a member and has BP profile. I do not want to alienate people who did not ask to be immediately signed up to a forum. Is there a way (perhaps in the profile loop?) to prevent a specific user ID from having a buddypress profile?

    BuddyPress is not a forum script!

    So you want to remove someone’s profile if it matches a certain ID?
    It’s could be possible to redirect to the homepage if someone attempts to go to a certain user’s profile.
