BuddyPress.org

I have just upgraded to the latest versions of WordPress, Buddypress and bbPress and this has just started happening.

Wordpress 4.2.3
Buddypress 2.3.2.1
bbPress 2.5.8

This happens with the Twenty Twelve theme too. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if I’ve done something wrong.

In my Activity stream, but only sometimes, when someone @ mentions another on the forum, in the activity stream, following the @ mention a “/a” appears and the rest of the text is a link to that user. It’s the same on user pages when you view their activity.

It seems to happen on posts with a [Read more] link. The strange things is if you click [Read more] the problem disappears when the whole text loads.

All activity renders fine in the CMS, and the actual posts in the forum are fine, it’s just the shortened versions in the Activity stream.

I hope you have some advice. Or let me know if I should create a trac ticket.
