Profanity Filter

I came across this profanity filter for WordPress that has worked great for another project and wondered if it would be possible to buddypress’ify it. I already tried it as is for BP but it is obviously missing some needed code and just over looks BP all together.

not exactly what you are describing – but may be helpful if it is actually functioning at this point – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-moderation/home/
and perhaps it could be tailored more towards the other plugin you are describing?
I think there is a beta release for download, even though the group home still says it’s not released.. the plugin author is a pretty busy guy I believe.

@alanchrishughes – try contacting the plugin dev and see if they can update the content filters for buddypress. the only profanity filter bp-ready i’ve seen is https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/webpurifytextreplace/ but that is a pay-for-solution

@alanchrishughes webpurify is now 100% BP compatible. You need to buy a $40 license but I’ve been using it for weeks and it works great. Their customer support is very good too!

@rich! @ etiviti @rossagrant yeah I saw that plugin, and I honestly wouldn’t mind paying, everybody deserves to be paid for their work, but you cant buy that script you have rent it, its like 10 cents a day or something strange like that.
