“Read More” button not working in Groups

    Hi all, I’ve created a long post under a group and it shows up with a “Read More” button on the group feed (for clarity I am not talking about the “Load More” button at the bottom of the group feed).

    The button appears non-functional even though mousing over it reveals a link to the correct post to open, I can right click this and open in a new browser tab, but the complete post should open in the current tab when clicked? Is this a bug or am I missing something here?

    I’ve tried disabling all plugins and reloading, to no avail. I’m using Nouveau.
    WP 4.9.8, BP 3.2.0, TwentySeventeen theme (child), http://lp.qc.to:15647/

    Hi,

    Have you tried with the legacy template instead of Nouveau? If it is working with the legacy template then certainly, it’s a bug.

    It does seem to work correctly with the Legacy template, yes.
    If this is a bug I don’t hold out for a short-term fix… anyone have any ideas for a workaround? I’m not a developer so just learning here.

    Just adding to this, I’ve found that clicking on a picture in one of these posts (I’ve made long posts both with rtMedia images and without, the Read More button has no effect on both), brings up the lightbox on that picture, but it’s only one of the pictures in the excerpt. If I then click left or right to move to the next picture it moves through the excerpt’s pictures, but won’t display pictures in that post that aren’t in the excerpt – instead, it moves to displaying pitcures from the post immediately previous or next in the group feed.

    This seems definitely like a bug to me… not sure where to report it?
