Register Button Dissapeared. /register redirects to homepage

  • I have BuddyPress installed and multi-site enabled. New User Registrations and New Sites for Logged In users is enabled. It has been working fine and then over the weekend I noticed a lot of spam members/user sites. I marked them as spam and installed a captcha plugin. Everything was fine again. And then today I noticed a handful of additional spam registrations when I started working on my home page. I then marked all the new users and the corresponding blogs as spam, but when I went back to the site the Sign Up button had disappeared and going to motherofautism.com/register just redirects to the homepage. I disabled and re-enabled user registrations in the admin panel, but to no avail.

I know it was working after I installed the captcha plugin this weekend because I tested it, and I have not installed or changed any settings since (just work on finishing the design work).

    Any thoughts?

Would it be possible to see a link to your site? I’m initially thinking something design wise has impacted on the sign up button somehow be it scripting or displaying.

I’ve tried a handful of things and looked to see if it was a design issue, but I can’t find it. I’ve also tried to reinstall bp, but no luck. Any help is appreciated.

@stars4321 yeah, BP Nicey is a child theme of bp-default and most probably wouldn’t have cause the registration glitch. Change to bp-default theme, deactivate recaptcha and plugins other than BuddyPress and see if /register/ still goes to home page.
