Register/Activate Howto

    @alonsotron

    I’m attempting to define pages for registration/activation of new user accounts on my fresh installation of BuddyPress.
    I noticed, however, those pages were not automatically created. Do I need another BuddyPresss compatible plugin to setup a page wherein guests can register an account?

    I’m building a site which requires four access levels (Guest, Member, Coach, Admin) and it will require page restrictions based on the above mentioned access-levels.

    If anyone could point me in the right direction it’d be greatly appreciated

    @alonsotron all you will need to do is create blank pages with the same names and then in settings for buddypress associate the pages with register and activate action in the Pages tab of settings.

    Once I’ve created the blank pages and associate them with the register/activate settings they’ll auto-populate with the registration form and activation confirmation?

    Yes – and remember you can’t see them on the front end while logged in.

    Trying that out now, thank you!

    Thank you, this seems to have done the trick. Quick followup question – I can’t seem to find the option which allows new users to register. I’m currently hitting a wall with “User registration is currently not allowed.” being yielded.

    Am I missing something?

    Can’t seem to find a fix for this. I’ll try playing around with it over the weekend. If I’m still stuck on Monday I’ll start a new thread.

    Thanks again for the help <3

    Hi!

    I’ve already go to settings–>General and check Anyone can register check box, but anyway… it doesn’t work. Can I send you screen captures to any mail?

    Thank you!

    Carmen
