If you signup to a buddypress site using say Facebook or Google, bp adds your full name that you use in the social network as your Username. And creates a member link url based on this name like, /members/john-doe/ then it displays the ‘Name’ field publicly in profile page and other parts of the site. When a user’s ‘Name’ is clicked, it calls the above link with users real name(in most cases) in the url.
This is not desired by many people who doesn’t want to display their real names anywhere, including the url, and there’s no option to change it in the profile page.

So, what can I do so the the profile link url is created not by “Username” but by ‘Name’ field.
