Request feature improvement to help visually challenged people

    Hi, One of my new community member is blind. When I asked her to upload photo in the member profile, this is what she replied:

    “I can’t seem to click on the button to upload without a mouse. Some buttons can be activated with keyboard shortcuts but this one seems to need a mouse click.”

    Can something be done about this issue? Thanks.

    @vinzen We apologize for the inconvenience to the lady and yourself. We try to follow accessibility guidelines and unfortunately some items fell through the cracks per our recent automated audits on the frontend and backend screens. The manual accessibility audits were to be done after the tickets above were fixed. Please be assured that we’ll let you know how to resolve the issue as soon as possible.     @vinzen I was initially able to confirm the issue reported by the lady in the original post. However, upon consultation with another developer, testing in another laptop, and restarting the other laptop I used to test the issue, the result is that one can open the file selection box using keyboard navigation.

    Could you please ask her to restart computer/clear caches and check again? She can open the image file selection box using the Enter key or the Space bar.

    If the above don’t resolve the issue, can she give us more information about: the browser/s she is using, PC/Mac, other assistive technology used, etc., and on your end, it would help us to know what theme and plugins you have installed in your site.
