[resolved] When choosing anything from the admin bar it says ’Page not found’

  • Hi

I have just installed my first bp and s2members plugin to realise that I can’t access anything from the My Account section of the admin bar.

I have uninstalled s2members but the problem stays so I think it is with the buddypress.I tried uninstalling bp and installing again, but it didn’t change anything. Spent few hours trying different option with no result. The bp works if it comes to groups and forums, but I can’t access my profile, settings, etc.

I am new to bp and would really like to make it work. Help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Adam

  • Just to add. It was a fresh installation of WordPress v.3.3.2, Buddypress 1.5.5 with the standard template. Tried reinstalling permalinks – no change.

    What’s in your .htaccess file?

I have managed to repair it myself. I have installed buddypress as a plugin for our members in a domain http://www.domain.com/members. When it was going to the usual buddypress member’s admin page domain.com/members/members it could not find it. I changed the name of the standard bp ‘members’ page to ‘subscribers’ and it solved the problem.

Strange bug, perhaps could be fixed with the next update.

    Thank you for the reply.

    Adam
