Is there a way to have users sign up without activating through email, also if this is possible can they be signed in right after they sign up so that they don’t have to jump through so many hoops?

“To disable sending activation emails you can user the filter ‘bp_core_signup_send_activation_key’ and return false.”

I see, can you explain this a little more? I’m not very familiar with the buddypress code.
