Can someone help me condemn these advertisements, its not like i have that many plugins but it would be nice to know who is creating these infestations!

Its the type of add that turns a random word into a ad on my site.

Please know that BuddyPress does not include any advertisements. It looks more like you’ve been hacked by the tone of your rant. Surf Cannon is the link to what? Do give a specific site uri.

It seems like there are advertisements to different sites. The ads pop up from text within my web page. I installed a few widgets and now the ads are stuck on my site. i deactivated all my widgets and they did not disappear, except when i deactivated buddy press and cleared my entire site. =0

Actually i see them on this buddy press page too maybe its a program within my computer.

So you don’t see ads hypertext ads on buddy press?

I downloaded a program from http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html recently that installed 4 sub programs (accidentally)

    thanks

@harvey1233 what site are you referring to as Surf Cannon? You posted http://justinharvey.com/ as site URI in your other post.

installed a few widgets and now the ads are stuck on my site

Again, BuddyPress does not add those pop-up ad widgets to anyone’s site nor is BuddyPress responsible for such.

The ads pop up from text within my web page.

URI to page with pop up?

@harvey1233 – I don’t see any hypertext ads on this site or on justinharvey.com. I think something has infected your browser or your PC.

Going to close this thread; BuddyPress doesn’t have any ads in it, so it’s either another plugin, your theme, or — most likely — malware on your computer.
