[SOLVED] – BuddyPress on IIS 6 fails to load page

I’m currently trying to get BuddyPress installed on a WordPress site I’m working on. I’ve gone through your steps here: http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/before-installing/ but after installing the BP plugin and activating the 1.5.3.1 theme nothing on the page loads. If I revert back to the default WordPress theme, then my site comes back up. I’m currently using IIRF for rewrites in IIS 6 and currently the only rewrite mod I have in the IIRF.ini file is for WordPress’s pretty permalinks. IIS 7 is not a viable option for me at this time. Am I missing any necessary rewrites to get BP to work?

Nevermind, I was able to get it to work. After installing and activating the BuddyPress plugin, I noticed on the WordPress plugin page at the top there was a notification to run the installation wizard. After going through the steps and finalizing the install, the BP pages loaded perfectly! I would recommend to have some sort of notification on the actual BP pages that the user needs to run the installation wizard first because there’s really nothing that tells the user what to do after installing the plugin and the blank pages don’t help. ;)

The part about the Installation Wizard is in the plugin’s readme.txt as seen in https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress/installation/ as well in BP Codex https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/
