Somehow hook into bp_core_add_message() and change the label “Group” to “Channel”

I’ve managed to change all labels on the front end, but when it comes to success or error messages, I’m not sure how to replace the label, “Group” to “Channel”. Is there any way I could hook into that function and do a str_replace?
