Tagging and/or Categorizing Users "Activity Posts"?

I was wondering how would I make it so I can add an input field under the “Post Update” field, so that registered users can either tag and/or categorize their “Activity Posts”? Is this possible in BuddyPress?

this would be cool in conjunction with sitewide tagging
