    Hello Everyone.

    First, I want to say thank you to those here who offered help, especially @vapvarun. I am grateful when others step in to help no matter the situation.

    After several weeks of trying to integrate BP with the plugins needed to provide the functionality, privacy, and user-friendly options my community needed, I decided to move on to another platform. The more I had to “find another plugin” to fix a problem, the more time was sunk into a project that was not coming to fruition. My frustration was too much – it was time to let it go.

    I work as an executive coach and business adviser. Tech really isn’t my thing but I know enough to build websites on WordPress using Divi for both computer and mobile use. So if the BP leadership team is willing to hear valuable feedback, then please take this in for the good of the BP community.

    From my perspective, this is what I would do if I was the CEO of BP:
    • Monetize BuddyPress with membership levels:
    Basic – $49 for annual subscription with all upgrades and free online support
    Intermediate – $89 annual subscription includes above plus email support
    Advanced – $119 annual subscription includes above plus priority support
    VIP – $199 annual subscription includes above plus 30% discount on design-team services
    • All members have access to BP design teams at $189 hourly, non-members pay $229 hourly, and VIP members pay $132 hourly.
    • Form collaborative partnerships with companies that build plugins specifically for BP. Co-ordinate innovative projects where both companies are benefited.

    I’m sure most of you have the time and skills to force a dozen or so plugins to make BP do what you need it to do. I can’t give any more to this. This past week I moved my community to a paid platform, Peepso, and hope it will free me up to invest time in building and marketing my community rather than trying to get it off the ground.

    Consider monetizing BP. It’s a solid product, but it needs a lot of help. People will pay for it, and, they should. Those who continue to invest their heart and soul into BP should be rewarded.

    Maybe you guys will see me again, maybe you won’t. Best of life and blessings to everyone.

    @tr3ntbuck

    I am just getting started on my site. I have not purchased a theme or plugins yet as I am trying to find out what modification I can do on my own or what I cannot / how long it might take. I have looked at some themes for purchase for BuddyPress and I have looked at Peepso but I feel it is impossible to tell in either situation if the demos people are showing are all done with settings to modify the look of pages or if it the display changes are being done by writing code. BuddyBoss premium theme demos look nice and so does Peepso but I have not figured out if the look they are both showing is just alot of setting options or just them writing code.

    Hi @tr3ntbuck,

    According to my experience demos are always prepared using settings and if you have any queries regarding that then I guess you can ask pre-sale questions there as well. You can compare your idea/thought with BuddyPress functionality and then can see if it is going to fulfill your need or not.

    Thanks
