Timestamps off by about 7 hours

    Hi I’m using buddypress 1.5 and wp 3.2.1 and my activity timestamps are off by seven hours.
    I’ve seen some old posts on this but read that it was fixed in BP 1.5
    Any suggestions?
    Email timestamps are correct.

    Under Settings > General, what do you have your timezone set to

    It shows

    Timezone
    UTC time is 2011-10-03 20:29:06
    Local time is 2011-10-03 13:29:06
    Choose a city in the same timezone as you.
    This timezone is currently in daylight saving time.
    Standard time begins on: November 6, 2011 2:00 am.

    So it’s showing me the diff between my application’s timezone and the server’s? How do I get BP to use the WP setting?

    Instead of choosing the City to set your timezone, use the number difference instead i.e. +3, -4, etc.
