Trying to make buddypress register page the home page for my site

    Hey folks:

I am trying to get my buddypress register page (http://www.howistyle.info) to show up as the home page for my site. I created a new page called signup now, and pasted the code from register.php there, and set that page up as the front page of my site. (I have a plugin that allows me to use php code in posts and pages). The only problem is none of the content will display. I am a bit perplexed because I had no problem pasting code from members/single/index.php and activity/index.php into standard wordpress page.

I even tried creating an i-frame on the hope page and pulling the content that way and I didn’t work.

    Any suggestions?

Assuming you are using the latest 1.5 BuddyPress I think you can just assign the page you’ve linked to registration as the home page by using reading settings. That’s a lot simpler method doesn’t require any copy and pasting.

@karmatosed. The issue is that I am not using a buddypress theme. I used the BP template manager plugin. So I don’t know how I would implement your suggestion.
