Unable to create group

Hi, and thanks in advance for any help.

I´m working with MU 2.9.2/ Buddypreess 1.2.3, and I have an odd problem with groups, only the admin can create a new group, but if I change the theme, all users can create a group without problems, any idea?

Sounds like a problem with the theme. Which themes are you using? Did you check the theme that doesn’t work to see if the theme files are checking if the user is an admin before displaying the create group button? Maybe the theme that it doesn’t work on is just hiding the button to create, but anyone actually could create one if they just knew the link to create groups.

users can see the button, but when they click on it, they are redirected to the homepage instead of the page to create groups, same problem if I copy/paste the link to create groups.

Are you using any BP plugins per chance that limit group creation?

@r-a-y, yes, that was the problem, I uninstalled the plugin but for some reason continued working, I had to delete it and now works just fine.
