Unaproved users appear in the directory

    Hi Guys,

    It’s been about 3 years since we set up this site for a client, they have come back to us recently saying users can register and appear on the directory while still unapproved.

    I’ve tested this and it’s correct.

    I cannot see a setting anywhere to fix this.

    Can you help?

    I should mention that we are using the following:

    BP Members With Uploaded Avatars Widget
    BuddyPress
    BuddyPress Member Types Pro
    BuddyPress Members only Pro
    BuddyPress Multilingual
    BuddyPress Profile Completion
    BuddyPress Reorder Tabs

    Hi,

    This is probably due to the fact that historically account are created on regular (in the sense of not multisite configs) sites.

    We introduced since 2.0 a specific constant to skip this account creation, I advise to add it to your WP config file:

    define( 'BP_SIGNUPS_SKIP_USER_CREATION', true );
