Upgrade from BP single install to multi

    Wordpress – 3.3.1
    Buddy Press – 1.5.4

    I installed Buddy Press on a single instance of WP to evaluate and am very impressed. Now I’m ready to experiment with using it on a WP Multi install. Can I upgrade from WP single to WP multi if I’m already running BP and if so, what’s the best way?

    @tcbroonsie I have had no problems upgrading from single WP to WP multisite with BP already installed. That said, always back up database and server files before making major changes to your installation like so. That way, you can revert to single WP with your htaccess, wp-config.php, and DB backups if something goes awry. As the saying goes, if anything can go wrong, it will.

    Also, if you want to be “extra” careful, deactivate all plugins and change to Twenty Eleven before upgrading to multisite.
