User email authentication is not working

    Hi Buddypress,

    I have installed latest version of buddypress and when click on sigh up, it show massage that verification link has been sent to your email id but unable to received any link neither inbox nor spam folder.

    Do not not where issue is. Also facing same issue with resend link and forget password.

    Please help to solve the issue or guide.

    This is not an issue at all. I have worked on over 20k buddypress sites and I can confirm this works.

    Try resending the email to confirm.
    To resend open WP admin – users – manage signups and locate the user and click on “send activation email again”

    What kind of issue you are facing while this authentication process I also faced the similar kind of issues you can see here my techh theta is very well organized now.

    It isn’t that the emails are not being sent. It is that the emails are not making it to the destination, either blocked by ISP’s or somehow caught in spam or something.

    Yes, there are 2 most probable reasons :

    1. Reverse IP does not match.
    2. Missing SPF rules in DNS. If you have cPanel powered server, you can easily check in its SMTP settings which is able to detect and tell you the exact cause. You may be missing a SPF rule in your DNS, cPanel will mention that.

    A quick alternate is to install a WordPress mail plugin like Postman SMTP and try sending the emails in the textual format, or use this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/vibe-buddypress-to-wp-mail-fix
