User registration – activation key? Process not streamlined.

    Hello buddy press people. So I installed buddy and bbpress, and had a few different tests to try out the tegistration process. Sometimes registration emails aren’t sent, sometimes they are, but it always asks for an activation code when it does send. If the user skips this they can login normally, but sometimes I need to approve them manually.

    This issue slows down registration process and is off putting for first Time users. I’m happy to get any traffic for such a new site, and I really can’t afford to have a lackluster registration process that slows the user down.

    I’ve seen this topic come up in forums from years ago, and still couldn’t find a fix.

    Help me please!

    Are you sure they’re not being sent? Could it be that they’re not being received (gone into a spam or junk folder)?

    If the user skips this they can login normally

    They can log in but unless they’ve activated their account via the email that was sent, or you have manually activated them, they won’t be able to do much on your site. Their privileges will be restricted.
