User-Submitted Image Gallery Function

    Hi there,

    I’m looking for a fairly specific function to add to my BP site, possible what I’m after doesn’t exist yet…

    I’d like to give my users the ability to:
    – Create multiple (public) photo galleries
    – Upload (front-end) images
    – Assign each of their images to a specific gallery, and give the image a category and a tag (for my intended use, this is probably the most important feature)
    – (optional) Vote or “like” other users’ submitted photos, and comment on photos

    I’ve tried a couple of the plugins that a quick Google search turned up…they get me fairly close to where I need to be, but I’ve not yet found one that includes all of the above.

    Any suggestions on a plugin or other workaround would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks kindly for the reply. I checked rtMedia out and it’s a phenomenal plugin, clearly there’s been alot of work put into it.

    The real key to what I’d like to do, is to have a visitor be able to sort/filter ALL of the site’s user-submitted photos, from a certain category. So, multiple users submitting photos to their own (public) galleries, and assigning each photo to a (pre-defined) category. At the home page level, a visitor could select from one of the categories, and see all of the photos from all users, which are assigned to that category. That’s about the only function I need that I can’t find within rtMedia.

    As I think about it, I guess the functionality I’m after would be pretty similar to a normal WP blog post…but with an image taking the place of any text.
