    Hi Varun,

    Thank you for your reply.

I already installed the bp-xprofile-custom-filed-types but still when I click the Settings option at the frontend after I login as subscriber does not show anymore the settings page anymore. (please refer to screenshot: http://prntscr.com/jqip5v

It was working before on the previous buddypress version.

@denniscabasal BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Fields Type: v2.6.3 is not compatible with BP3.0 You can check https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-xprofile-custom-field-types/ which is new plugin based on Donmik’s plugin

    Hi Varun,

Thank you so much for the reply.

I did the testing with and without Buddypress Xprofile custom fields type on both versions (Version 1.0.0 and Version 2.6.3) but no luck on getting the front-end User profile SETTINGS to work (not displaying the settings page)

Also I even do the testing with newly install wordpress-4.9.6 and buddypress 3.0.0 only but still no luck as well on getting the front-end User profile SETTINGS to work (not displaying the settings page)

But when I try using the buddypress Version 2.9.3 and with xprofile custom fields type with versions: 1.0.0 and 2.6.3 all are working properly.

I dont know if the said issues is on buddypress version 3.0.0 that is not displaying the front-end users profile Settings page (General and Profile Visibility tab)

    Thank you so much.

    Best regards,
    Dennis

Hi there @vapvarun and @denniscabasal I’ve had the same issue. The issue becomes resolved when I revert back to Buddypress 2.9.4. Given that Dennis and I had the same issue and the resolution was the same I believe that the issue lies with the Buddypress 3.0.0 update.

Hi sdkyle612 thank you so much for the reply. I already reverted back the Buddypress to version 2.9.3 as this is the only copy I have. Now it is working accordingly.

Thank you so much for sharing the solution to resolve the said issue.

    Best regards,
    Dennis

    BuddyPress Devs – Any word?

The bug needs to be reproduceable on a fresh install of WordPress and BuddyPress.

If you are able to replicate this bug there, then please list the steps it takes to duplicate the problem.

It’s possible that you are using a plugin or custom code to change certain things. If that is the case, you need to disable all BuddyPress-related plugins and code snippets and then trying to reactivate each one to pinpoint what is causing the problem.

    Hi,

I have the same issue with BuddyPress version 3.0.0 and we’re using ActiveMember360 + BuddyPress for the members and I’ve tried debugging and found out the front end settings are working if ACmember360 Buddypress extension is turned off so I tried turning it off and the front end General Settings works.

    Is this supposed to be?

Here are the steps I did:

    1. Copied membership site to a dev server for debugging and started checking the settings
    2. Tried deactivating plugins and the conflict is within BuddyPress and ACmember360
    3. Tried degrading the Buddypress plugin but still doesn’t work
    4. Found out the ACMember360 BuddyPress extension should be turned off for the front end user
    5. General Settings to work

I don’t know tho what is the effect if we turn this off.

    Hi,

I try the new version 4.2.0 but still got the same issue as I reported 8 months ago: “Users Profile Settings option page is not working.”. so I am reverting it back again to my previous version of Buddypress 2.9.3.

    Thanks

Yes the issue gets resolved when you revert back to Buddypress 2.9.4. Many of them are facing the same issue & it needs to be fixed ASAP. I believe that the issue lies with the Buddypress 3.0.0 + updates. Please developer have a look & try to resolve it ASAP.

    I cannot duplicate your issue.

Your OP shows a screenshot that indicates a lot of customization of a member profile.
In order to narrow down the source of your issue – have you tried removing those customizations?
It could be that the customizations have not been updated to work with BP 4+ .

Have you tried switching to a WP theme like 2017 to see if the issue persists?
Have you tried deactivating other plugins to see if the issue persists ?

Unless your issues can duplicated on a basic install of the latest versions of WP and BP, it very doubtful that a solution will posted in these forums.
