Using the Wire in custom components

I’m currently working on a custom component and want to add the wire to it, so users can post messages.

The BuddyPress description (look here ) says the wire can be used with every component.

The question is: How?

Are there some special functions to use?

I think once answered, this would be a great addition for the skeleteon component.

I installed an album plugin and noticed, while the wire post shows up, you can’t post from it. Seems your not the only one with this question.

It works fine for me.

Even though the code is a bit messy, imho, you could probably follow its implementation.

@Mariusooms Thanks for the hint, worked for me.

@Mattlay The album plugin didn’t work on my current BP installation (1.0.2 and some customizations), but works fine on a clean BP 1.0.3 install.
