Which Template File Handles The Page You See After Account Activation?

  • Yikes, I can’t find it! Once a user registers and confirms their account, they’re taken to a page that says their account is now active… but I need to edit it to match my theme’s style. Can anyone tell me which template file this is? It’s not activate.php or register.php – that’s about all I know!

  • This is the page I’m talking about… anyone have a clue? http://foodnetworkhumor.com/activate

I’ve actually checked every single buddypress template file I have, and can not find it anywhere. Do I have to modify the core?

    Hi @jillsays

If you’re creating a child theme: The template file you’re looking for is wp-content/themes/yourtheme/registration/activate.php

If you can’t find it in your theme folder then you need to copy it from wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/activate.php and copy it into your theme folder. Remember to paste it into wp-content/themes/yourtheme/registration/activate.php

NB! Where ever I’ve written “yourtheme” replace it with the name of your theme’s folder.

Thanks….. I just found one tiny extra letter in the stupid code.
    Appreciate the help.
