wp importer tools stop my site

  • boyhermes

I want to translate data from my buddypress test site to a new one buddypress site. I used the export tool, exporting all and an XML file is generated.

when I try to import this file, I have to choose an option ( import from wp ) and a pop up windows appear telling me that I have to install a plugin named wp imported. When I do that, the site stop working. I have to erase the plugin manually in order to my site continuing working.

Is there another method to import the file ?.

hopefully you have a database backup of the test site. if so, why not import it thru phpMyAdmin in your server control panel, then make any edits as appropriate. this is the most reliable method.

    That’s weird.
Have you tried adding the import plugin and importing your data and THEN (after it’s imported your data) activating buddypress?
