In reply to: Fatal Errors after 1.1.2 install
Jeff, I am currently running buddypress 1.1.2 and wpmu 2.8.5.2 – this is the memory error I receive
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32243712) (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /web/1/000/014/981/12741/htdocs/hierinwangen/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-groups.php on line 687
In reply to: Fatal Errors after 1.1.2 installHi there,
this happened to me as well. But the steps above didnt help. I just went through them again.
Without doing anything, one day there was only a white page (still had wpmu 2.7 running). So I thought I probably should upgrade. I deactivated everything but when ever I try to activate buddypress, I get a gazillion “warning: call-time-pass-by-reference has been deprcated” errors and at the end “Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32243712) (tried to allocate 30720 bytes)”. Do you have any idea where the problem could be?
Thank you very much for your help!!!
Reiner
In reply to: New blog theme available for the Groupblog pluginthat is a great plugin! Thanks.
I was wondering if there is a way that only the admin could connect blogs to group blogs. In my bp-network users are allowed to open their own group but they are not allowed to start a new blog. But I would like to connect blogs to some groups (as an admin, not group admin). Any idea on this one?
In reply to: BuddyPress External Group Blogs Pluginthis is a great plugin. since I do not want anyone to create a blog with a group (so far users are only allowed to start their own group and blog registration is disabled): How could I – as admin – exclusively attach blogs to certain groups? Is there any way that only admins (of bp and not group admins) are allowed to create “group blogs”?
thanks,
Reiner
Hello DJPaul,
wonderful – this did the trick. bpress 1.1.1 is running smoothly now!

socialpreneur: have tried it manually in all combinations as well (see above). really clueless, want to avoid to start with a fresh system because I would have to import all users, groups, forums and whatnot.
okay, now I have tried to “automatically upgrade” and I get a fatal error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_activity_install() (previously declared in /web/1/000/014/981/12741/htdocs/hierinwangen/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity.php:19) in /web/1/000/014/981/12741/htdocs/hierinwangen/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-activity.php on line 52
any ideas??
thanks,
Reiner
Andy, thank you. but
still not working. everything deactivated but the grey bpress admin bar is still showing.
When I delete the buddypress directory from the server I get a blank page as starting page. Also white: after deleting bp-themes and bpress. Also white, when I delete bp-themes without deleting buddypress…
When I upload the new version, still white… I somehow cant get bp1.03 out of the dna of my system…argh….
thanks.
