Our next item up for bid is BuddyPress 1.2.8, which includes a few small bug fixes to the 1.2 branch of code and is a highly recommended update if you are updating to WordPress 3.1.
This release backports a few important fixes from the currently in-development 1.3 version of BuddyPress to play nicely with the new and very much improved WordPress network administration interface. We’ve also updated the bundled version of bbPress from 1.0.2 to 1.0.3, which addresses a few issues that do not effect BuddyPress directly.
Every effort has been put into supporting both WordPress 3.0 and 3.1 with this release to make updating your sites as painless as possible, so this should be another worry-free update!
Sorry folks; had comments turned off on accident. 🙂
Do you has an ETA on when the next update of BP will be made public?
Will this version of Buddypress come bundled with the new and improved bbPress plugin for groups? Or will it still be based off the stand alone platform?
good news! Congratulations and thanks for BuddyPress team for the new release!
Hi,
I want to know what is buddyPress and what is its purpose. Please give me a idea or give me a link where from i can know about it. Also let me know will it be able to add with any wp themes.
Where are you going to release 1.3, roadmap is up to 99% but is never updated, im kind fustrated, i need you release bp 1.3 for start some interestings projects.
As a very beginner developer, I’m facing a lot of difficulties in figuring out the documentation on writing BuddyPress plugins. I know, I’m spoiled by the vast amount of documentation for WordPress plugins…
For BuddyPress there is literally… nothing at all. The whole https://codex.buddypress.org/plugin-development/ section has no single line of information except a link to a very outdated, over two-years-old “skeleton component”. Well, I’m using that as basis to see what I can do with it, but it’s very frustrating to start work on the latest BP versions being completely in the dark.
Mind you, I have worked on worse environments and survived 🙂
Hello,
since I’m having huge trouble with 1.2.9 and forgot to save 1.2.8 …
Where can I download the older version?
As far as I can see there are a couple of conflicts with Ajax code which destroy the WordPress backend (media file upload window does not close, menus in the backend don’t shut, widgets are not editable and so on). I guess, it would be better to downgrade my installation.
Thank you in advance.
