    Hello All,

I am the admin with full rights for a site that I keep receiving this error. I have done everything that I can find to fix this problem please help. I am running a clean install of WP 3.2.1, BP 1.5. It is a multisite and I am running it on a linux server with 5.2.13 php. Currently I only have 4 plugins:
    – Askismet
    – bp-moderation
    – buddypress – :)
    – websitedefnder-wordpress-security
    – wp-maintainace-mode

I can navigate to the home page and the login page. Once I log in i receive the aformentioned mentioned error.

    Please advise.
    Thanks for your help

Access server files and rename plugins folder to e.g. wp-content/plugins-x then try to log in.

via ftp i did what you stated and now i can get into the backend and see the site.

The theme is the default is wordpress’ Twenty Eleven 1.2. I assume that this means that I am having a plugin problem? my site is idreamconnection.com

now what do i need to do?

    thx

    Yes it does.

    – Since you’ve been able to access your wp-admin, you can now rename wp-content/plugins-x to wp-content/plugins
    – Activate BuddyPress
    – Use bp-default theme in the meantime
    – Do not activate maintenance mode plugin yet – it sometimes messes up with BP plugins
    – Activate BP plugins one by one and see which one is messing up with your login. There’s a list of plugins compatible with BP 1.5 – https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-plugin-compatibility/

thanks for all of your help. I will do what you suggest here. I did know about the list that you provided:
    https://codex.buddypress.org/releases/1-5-plugin-compatibility/

My question is how current is this list as I know that BP-moderation has been update as per the Group here on bp.

    Thanks Again.

Don’t exactly know how current that list is. I would suggest double-checking compatibility of the plugin/s you want to install yourself as well. BP compatiblity is usually noted in right sidebar re plugin like you saw for BP Moderation – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-moderation/
