People have been complaining about the avatars here, which is why I went to gravatar as for me it’s the same avatar (this could also apply to your own installation)… I can’t explain why the post taking so long though…

stuff gets cached, and it’s not always cleared as quickly as one would like. I changed to this gravatar picture yesterday, but nothing changed so thought stuff had broken/failed, until i noticed the warning at gravatar.com about how long changes could take…. 10 or 15 minutes later it was the one I uploaded…

Well they say that patience is a virtue… unfortunately not one I share as the same sort of thing has happened to me several times this week…..

Are you using pretty permalinks…. which are required for buddypress to work?

By the looks of that site – you need to enable pretty permalinks which is required for buddypress….

To fix this problem, enter the WordPress admin panel > Settings > Pemalinks – set to any configuration other than the default configuration. The mod_rewrite must be enabled on your server for pretty permalinks to work

Are you on the ‘Dual Perfect’ but only with 30meg?

My only experience has been with 30 meg which often, these days, isn’t enough to run wordpress on with not too many plugins…. I would have thought 60 would be just about enough…. – but maybe someone with more experience in that area could answer….

They state in their uk faq (which i hope is now out of date) that none of the memory tricks will work…

What I would like to know is if this is also a problem with their new packages, not just with their old accounts….
