@apeatling HI Andy, hope you are well. Just had a little issue where I realised if you follow a member then unfollow them BEFORE they click on the notification of them being followed in the tool bar at the top of the BP page then the notification gets stuck there. If you click it it doesn’t […]

@apeatling Hello Andy,
I noticed you were the first to join my new plugin group (BP Profile Search), and you are also listed as a contributor. Could you please look into what I think is a BuddyPress or WordPress bug? The details are in the plugin discussion. Thank you!

@apeatling Andy, saw your twitter integration plug-in: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-group-twitter/
Ever seen something that can run a chat over twitter, but also allow non twitter users to participate? I think would need to be a plug-in that would push each chat msg out to twitter (possibly on some host entered account and…[Read more]

big props to @jeffsayre, @foxly, @r-a-y, @nuprn1, @francescolaffi, @DJPaul, @andrea_r, @johnjamesjacoby, @apeatling and a few others.
Updated to BP 1.2.5 without deactivating plugins on a few sites (not recommended I know) but had no issues.
Great work peeps.-
Thank you for posting your theme tutorials for everyone and for your contributions to the BP community!

Well that’s good news! Woo woo! ๐

@tsjogren –
Have you tried contacting @jobjorn ? He was listed as the one in charge of the Swedish translation. But, I think it never got created. You should check in with @apeatling and @johnjamesjacoby as they control access to the BP repository.

@apeatling Hi Andy, I’m trying to get an alternative view of my buddypress forums setup, effectively just like the one you’ve done for this website, any chance you could detail down somewhere how to achieve this output, and add it has an extra tab next to all topics and my topics in the forum?

@lincme, sorry, forgot, you will need to add
locate_template( array( 'sidebar.php' ), true )
just aboveget_footer()
in that file.@johnjamesjacoby, @apeatling are there any plans to add proper code back to the forums here, it’s been way too long now…

Peter, this is info that you could get in trac as easily as Paul. I think he may be referring to this ticket: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2451. But it isn’t exactly the same bug. My issue seems independent of BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG. Digging around in trac I found this changeset by @apeatling that introduced the problem:…[Read more]

The one unifying theme out of these 76 posts is the lack of leadership so the key question for @matt and @apeatling is how does the current state of BuddyPress compare with the early days of WordPress? Would WordPress have been as big of a success if no one was working full time on it? Right now […]

And before this turns into a total roast or disagreement session (which I don’t think it will, but I want to prevent the slightest chance of that), I want @johnjamesjacoby and @apeatling to know how grateful I am for all the work that you’ve done. @apeatling Andy regards commit access I would have thought that you already have at least four guys here that seem to have a pretty deep understanding of the code base involved would it not be a start and indeed lighten the burden on yourself and JJJ if they were to have commit access right away? <quote […]

In line with the topic @anointed started a week++ ago, methinks that BP is facing a big mountain made of different WP/MU versions and making it work for all. In that line, might I suggest that Automattic allow @apeatling to concentrate on BuddyPress and be more informative about the direction of BuddyPress – less surprises the better […]

@apeatling @apeatling I want to thank you for the great work I think BP rocks. I had a few quick questions. When you come out with the front end quick post will it be a widget since some people have custom themes? Also will you be able to post to each individual blog/subdomain separately via the front end and not just the main blog? I’m running…[Read more]
