I seem to have a habit of missing of new files in commits. The file should now be there if you update to the latest trunk.
In reply to: privacy issuesThe first version of BuddyPress is for open networks, there won’t be any real privacy settings.
Once we have a 1.0 release, then the plan is to work on a generic privacy component that will introduce privacy levels across an install.
In reply to: Wire & ActivityFor posting on a profile wire yes. On a profile wire:
item_id = user_id for the user you are posting a wire message to.
The wire messages are stored in wp_bp_xprofile_wire.
However, the wire component is generic and can be used on anything at all. For instance it’s used for groups:
item_id = group_id and messages are stored in the table ‘wp_bp_groups_wire’.
The purpose for component_name in the activity tables is for formatting. It will use the component_name to match a formatting function in the code, that will turn an activity entry into something readable and that you can print to the screen.
On trac, so create a new ticket that explains the problem and what the patch does to fix, then you can attach the patch file to the ticket:
In reply to: OK The document has moved here.famous: Try this test for me, open bp-core/bp-core-catchuri.php and edit line 77:
header("Status: 200 OK", true, 200);replace it with:
//header("Status: 200 OK", true, 200);Then re-try and see if you get the same problem.
In reply to: Where does the Profile data goProfile data is stored in the following tables:
wp_bp_xprofile_groups – The profile groups
wp_bp_xprofile_fields – The fields, what type they are, the name etc.
wp_bp_xprofile_data – The data for each user for specific fields
Avatars are stored in:
wp_usermeta – with the meta_keys:
‘bp_core_avatar_v1’ – the URL to the avatar thumbnail
‘bp_core_avatar_v1_path’ – the filesystem path to the thumbnail
‘bp_core_avatar_v2’ – same as v1 but the full size image
‘bp_core_avatar_v2_path’ – same as v1 but the full size image
Sounds good – can you submit a patch?

/wp-content/mu-plugins/bp-languages/buddypress-[locale].mo
In reply to: prblem with old blogsUnfortunately the code is not in place to record existing blogs yet. Only new blogs created from the time of install will be recorded. This is on the list.

In reply to: problem with custom themesI think there needs to be an is_page() check done before the URL hijacking takes place. Can you submit a ticket for this at: https://trac.buddypress.org/newticket (wp.org support forum login creds)
In reply to: German translationfight4life – it’s not a good idea to translate the source – as the source will change over time.
In reply to: Bad possibilities to translate BuddyPressAgreed – some of the strings are quite broken up right now which makes it hard to translate. I’ll switch in some string replacements to clean this up a bit and you should be more or less good to go.
In reply to: Error on installPlease use the latest trunk version of BuddyPress.
In reply to: **BUG** Users cannot registerUsing r435?
In reply to: Problems with accessing Members pagesWhat does your .htaccess file look like? It seems to want to try and re-write URL’s to /members/index.php when it should be rewriting to /index.php.
The links should still work even if there is no actual physical page in that location, as the URLs are rewritten by Apache.
In reply to: trunk-r435 links are brokentestbp.org seems to be working fine – got an example to look at?
