The Invite Anyone plugin by @boonebgorges is great for inviting people but you have to enter their emails: http://teleogistic.net/code/buddypress/invite-anyone/ People on my site like it because they invite people who they know will contribute to the site instead of just click around.

I agree with @boonebgorges. The concern I was following is that emails sent by BP will increase a lot with the new features and plugins that are developed so plaintext emails will be lighter to process.

@boonebgorges I successfully modified the “*/bp-default/single/home.php” so that static content was placed in the home page section of the individual group page. I also managed to collect the current group id! Your advice was spot-on (once I located the inherited home.php file, anyway, haha)!
