You need to navigate to your-site/wp-admin/nav-menus.php and in the upper right side you will see a tab with an inverted triangle labeled “Screen Options” click that tab and then check the box beside “BuddyPress” you should then have the BuddyPress links in your menu options. Keep in mind you need to be logged in. Good luck!

Yes that is correct. If you have subfolders within the buddypress folder also make sure the structure is the same as it was when you copied it over. Otherwise if you change the templates it will not work correctly.

Well look at the common plugin you and @kemmieg are using which is S2 Member. I would start there by deactivating the plugin and see if the issue persists and if the issue goes away after deactivating the plugin then report it to the plugin author so they can track down the bug.

Yeah when it comes to issues like this the best thing to do is try to narrow it down. I would just batch deactivate all plugins other than BP then activate each one separately and testing the multi-select box until you find which one is causing the issue. I know it is time consuming but it is really the best practice. Good luck!

Looks good but I did notice this bug when you login on the home page it then redirects you to wp-login.php and kicks out this login error:

ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

Just to confirm this is as @henrywright stated a theme issue so I would advise trying out other themes that is known to work with BP like Twenty Thirteen or Twenty Fourteen then see if the issue still persists then report back.

You can test some of the solutions in this ticket that simply stops the activation email from being sent then use BP’s new build in activation to manually activate the users. Of coarse I haven’t tested this but its worth a shot.
