@francescolaffi uploading pics from mobile is pretty standard, whether it’s just an email address they get sent to, that would be quite helpful. People take pics on their cell phones now, why not be able to upload them on location? Viewing them on a cell is a dif story.

My main question is:
What features does Gallery have that BPAlbum+ is not planning on developing over the next two months?

Also, @techguy strongly agree with this, group albums totally critical here

Nice questions, walls are critical for a social network. @mentions are cool for forums and such and for messaging, but not good for leaving nice messages on peoples walls that make them feel warm and fuzzy inside and that others can check out

@foxly sweat ~ (as my danish roommate would say in accented approval) ~ does that mean that you’ll be able to select a BPAlbum+ pic as your member avatar pic rather than the tiny square one that doesn’t expand you can pick now?

@foxly ~ Beautiful Congrats ~ BPAlbum+ it is ~ Feature I’d like to suggest is ability to tag pictures with members id and have pictures tagged of them sortable just like on facebook ~ with ability for said member to remove tag from any pictures ~

hmm was a little off on that, it seems by default you can send direct messages to anyone regardless of whether or not they are friends (can you easily block people from sending you messages? seems like that would have to be standard) Can you block people from following you?

So I guess in order to see someones profile though they have to follow you back?

So direct message rules how do they work with followers following? I guess if someone is following you, you can DM them? What about if you have both friends and followers following enabled?

Does it work like if you friends with someone you can dm them and also if someone is following you you can dm them?

I’m also debating using both here… but not sure on what the point would be really other than an extra name of ‘friends’

@foxly good stuff ~ and at this time I’m making a decision between the gallery plugin available elsewhere and your BPAlbum+ plug in. It sounds like you are adding in lots of great functions and are committed to developing it out so I’m leaning in your direction (we actually had trouble getting gallery one to work to boot , What I’d like to see:

Support for other media (which you have coming) and ability to sort by media type
Create multiple albums with names and album descriptions (a la facebook)
Tagging pictures with user id a la facebook

@foxly I’m about to launch a new site here which will have a lot of usage right off the bat. At this point BPAlbum+ is installed and seems to be working ~ can you please share with me either in this thread or by DM whatever you share with @hotforwords as I feel a picture plug-in is critical feature, not having bugs is also critical ~

@stwc I’m interested in what changes you made in language file and beefing up forum. About to launch out a new community here and forums are the big weakness right now for sure ~ bbpress needs some bplove !
