    Thord,

If you are comfortable with phpmyadmin you can delete the individual entries from the database.

    Burt,

First off, thank you for taking the time to help out. It is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jeff,

Sorry for my absence, it has been a busy few weeks. Susequent to my last post I have installed and reinstalled bbPress several times. Everytime I am able to get integration working fine. Login in both BuddyPress and bbPress is synchronized, posts made in groups show up in bbPress. Posts made in bbPress show up in BuddyPress groups. All copacetic.

The problem is that none of that activity is recorded in the site wide activity widget. Bummer. I have deactivated the forums system for the time being.

I am running WPMu 2.7.1 and BuddyPress 1.0 with bbPress 1.0 alpha 6.

    Thanks for your interest.

    That is a relief,

I thought it was like bbPress’ bozo feature. Didn’t think I could be that much of a pain already.

What does it mean if one of your posts is visible only if you are logged in? I posted some error messages from my server log and could only see that post if I was logged in?

    @Andy,

I tried using the default themes and the same problem persists. I could really use a pointer on where to even begin looking for a fix for this.

Before I installed a custom theme I tried the default theme and had the same problems. I did solve the group wire problem following Andy\’s advice in another thread. https://buddypress.org/forums/topic.php?id=2339

If I can solve this widget problem I am good to go.

    Andy,

That fix worked perfectly on my site as well. Is there a similar fix for forum posts not showing up on the site wide activity widget?

Forum topics are only created through BuddyPress and not directly in bbPress so they should show up. They show fine in the actual groups but not on sitewide activity. I am going to go check the error logs now.

Our site is small enough (as is our budget) that having a completely different test install may not be feasible. I am going to see if it is possible to set one up on the same host.

@FW i am workin with a live site. I am gong to ask my computer genius buddy to help me set up a test platform before attempting to upgrade again.

I downgraded to RC1. I am going to wait for 1.0 and then try again.

I deleted everything related to BuddyPress (plugins/themes) and reinstalled from the “add plugin” admin.

A few things I have noticed. When activating the BuddyPress home theme, no preview is given when after selecting the theme and before clicking the “activate theme” button.

Also, nothing is being written to the sitewide activity table from the groups plugin.

I think I am having a similar problem. I checked phpMyAdmin and it looks like the table conversion was completed.

I just reinstalled BuddyPress and switched everything to the BuddyPress supplied themes. I am seeing the group wire posts in the groups but anything posted to the groups is still not showing up in the Site Wide Activity widget.

I have deactivated all plugins minus BuddyPress.

    Michael,

Where did you go wrong on your first attempt at upgrading? Maybe I made a similar mistake?

I’ve looked through all the code in the activity folder and activity.php no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction for the file that is stripping pictures and video from the site wide widget.

I have successfully intalled WPMu and BuddPress using subdomains. My host is a local one here in Central Virginia and they have been very kind and helpful.

Maybe I need to ask a more basic question? What is the difference between sign-up.php and registration.php?

Why are there two options and is one better than the other?

I guess a little sleep helped. It is fine now. Thanks.

You are exactly right John. I am a little overwhelmed with all the plugins and could use some guidance as to where I need to add the “list-style:none;” markup. I have tried editing a few css files to do that and have yet to find the magical CSS file.

    Thanks for pointing out the

    <ul> error.
