thanks.
I tried searching for the answer to the question but couldn’t find it.
@Grosbouff: The admin backend looks good so far. Let us know when you are ready to release!!
I am also having memory issues.
Question about your solution:
If you set the max memory to 40 MB, won’t it run out of memory faster? (assuming you have more than 40 MB available).
got it. I had to accept the plugin on the plugins page.
i think somebody should mention this in the component document or something.
thanks burt for the help!
thanks hyrxx. that helps for me to get started.
thanks john.
thanks brad. not sure how to use that function, tho.
to be clearer, I wanted to know if I can ask my user: What do you want your new “Full Name” to be? in a form, and then take their new name, and replace the old full name in their profile with what they want.
(obviously, I would also want to edit profile fields other than full name)
is there a way to do this?
ok, that works.
thanks! it looks good!
i’m a fan.
hmm, home is facebuddy. home is working fine. members page reverts to buddypress default.
It actually reverts to the completely unedited bp member default. what i mean is that the logo “Social Network” still appears, even though in my slightly modified buddypress default theme, i removed the logo.
i have latest versions of wpmu and bp installed, if that helps.
yes,
Site admin > Buddypress > Select theme > Facebuddy
is activated.
hi sgrunt,
i still get the default member profile after activating even with the newly uploaded version.
any ideas?
could someone give instructions on how to install?
i put home theme in themes directory
and member themes in member-themes directory
then activated home theme.
facebuddy home theme is loading, but i get default buddypress member theme.
do i have to activate member theme?
any suggestions?
Thanks johnjamesjacoby! That fixed my problem
Quick Question. What is the function to edit an extended profile field name?
Thanks for your help guys.
The fastest way to fix it I found is to use the function wpmucreateuser
Thanks johnjamesjacoby.
Would there be an automated way to fill out the Site Admin form for new users (e.g. if i have 15 users to put in), especially if i could do it through a script?
Changing Site Admin > Options > Welcome Email doesn’t seem to work.
Right under the “Welcome Email” setting, it says “The welcome email sent to new blog owners.” I think the “Welcome Email” is only for new blog users?
How can I change the Welcome Email for new user accounts (not blog users)?
(I have the latest BP upgraded today)
p.s. thanks for all your work on BP. ’tis amazing.
Thanks Burt!
That solves my problem.
