BP 1.2.6 will be release at WC NYC because it’s a nice coincidence of dates. The only tickets that will/may delay the release are any critical issues.

Is that a custom menu item? How did you add it?

I’m not 100% what you need, but you can rename the default field “Name” to something else on the wp-admin -> BuddyPress -> General Settings screen (“Full Name field name”).

bp_displayed_user_avatar only works when used somewhere in a BuddyPress member loop, e.g. on a particular member’s profile pages, or in the member directory.

Do you perhaps want the logged-in user’s avatar? Use bp_loggedin_user_avatar instead (no need to call get_currentuserinfo() for it).

I will suggest that, in my experience, if you plan to distribute this code, that you do not use the jq variable. This is because jq only exists on BP-Default and any child theme.

Uploading the BP folder and activating it should work. Do you remember what the error(s) was?

No, a subdirectory install wouldn’t matter. Let’s start at the beginning; what file have you created and where have you put it?

The problem is template pack wasn’t updated for the current version of BuddyPress, and it broke. We’re going to be updating this for the BuddyPress 1.2.6 release, which is due out soon.
