The cause is most likely going to be some other plugin or some code in your theme. Was there any extra information in that error log? If there’s only what you provided, there’s not enough information to help. (Try toggling plugins on/off one at a time until the issue goes away?)

If the Friends component is enabled, you’ll first need some friends. 🙂

After that, just type an @ sign and start typing. You should get a drop-down with suggestions.

I assume you’ve tried other images — i.e. it’s not a problem with the one image you have been testing with?

The email stuff is in 2.5. It’s due out at the start of March.

It doesn’t look like there’s a function to clear those messages, but if you empty the global directly (bp->template_message and $bp->template_message_type), you’ll see that bp_core_add_message sets a cookie, so you’ll probably need to clear those cookies, too.

It shouldn’t be doing this. I’d carry on by seeing if it’s related to any custom code in your theme or any other plugin or customisation you’ve made.

As these features are pretty new, there mightn’t be any existing plugins that offer this. I’m not sure it’s likely someone will spend the time reading the code and figuring it out to reply here unless you’ve started looking at the PHP yourself, in which case, let me know how far you got, and we’ll see if we can figure it out together.

So the same image can be uploaded OK to the media library, but not BuddyPress? Very odd. How big is this image? (in resolution, and file size)

Not sure without debugging the code — but why does registration on your site take me to http://192.241.173.232/wordpress/register/ ? Totally different URL etc.

I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Yes, the new stuff is pretty close to testing. I will come back here and add some screenshots once I’ve progressed the work to testing stage so everyone can see it

While this doesn’t help much, it’s an issue with bbPress, not BuddyPress.

We can’t support the Followers plugin here.

About the groups tag, I thought we fixed the no-count issue recently. What version of BuddyPress are you using?

Quit recommending Welcome Pack!! It hasn’t been updated in 4 years!! I would be surprised if it works.

There is no reason why a call to get_post_meta should not work. Are you certain the post ID you are passing to it is valid, and that the record with the meta_key, exists?

It’s not meant to work. We need to update buddypress.org to remove/hide those options. Sorry for the confusion.

It’s to do with the pagination for the Activity Directory screen.

If you have more than 20 activity items (by default), you get a “load more” bar/button at the bottom of the Activity Directory. BuddyPress uses this cookie to store the current “page” of results that you’re on (so it doesn’t load duplicates).
