imath: I’ve just done a code review of your plugin (the version on github, in master), and have left some feedback on Github. We’re keen to use it on BuddyPress.org once the issues are addressed.

It’s simply a WordPress blog, and every user has Editor access.

If PHP’s error_log() function writes to your PHP Error Log, you could add an error_log call inside the function and monitor the log to see when the job is being called.

Be aware it’s only meant to run once a day.

Unless you’ve made some advanced tweaks to BuddyPress — which will be hard for us to remember for you 😉 — BuddyPress doesn’t need anything in wp-config.

I don’t know how you’re importing the CSV, or what you’re mapping it to. Maybe. The easy way to find out the format is to log in, and then go and find the record belonging to your user in the DB.

Hmm.. do you know how to use MySQL? If so, looking up one of those activities in the DB table (wp_bp_activity) and seeing what the quote mark is written us, would be helpful.

There’s a record in the user meta table that would need to be set (‘bp_last_activity’). Try https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/activate-users-in-buddypress/ and see if it’s working.

Can we get a link to your site so we can register an account and look for any obvious errors?
