I was asked by a client to investigate the idea to allow community members on a BP site to sell goods and services on their profiles. This is very powerful functionality so I was wondering as to what integration work between WP-ecommerce and BP had been done already…

We’ve got what I’m calling checkout field autocompletion. i.e. add a BP profile field for “Address” and that will carry over to the eCommerce checkout. This and some other site-specific stuff I’m working on for Dan.
Also got has a draft version of a Groups extension to list products in a certain category.

It sounds as if your problem is a webserver configuration problem; you’d have the same issue if you just run WPMU without BuddyPress. You are probably best off contacting your host to ask for support configuring the server for WPMU.

There are some known problems with BuddyPress and “almost pretty” permalinks like index.php/blahblahblah. I know that @djpaul was looking at it at one point. In any case, it’s probably a BP problem at this point.

The preblem i have is when i change the language to another and click to the top menu (not admin menu) use to change to the default language menu AGAIN…!

How are you changing the language?

i have the dropdown language menu on the admin bar….that’s works with the WPML translator….everything seems ok until for example i go to groups tab menu and change instantanelly from the selected language to the default language…

Then you have found a problem with the WPML plugin. Talk to its author and ask about BuddyPress support.

@DJPaul I have my name still set as admin and after reading stories regarding hacks etc would quite like to change it. What is the safest way to change it and will the old admin name still show on other parts of the site, e.g. the older activity etc?
