In reply to: GD library
If your web server is hosted, talk to your host.
If it’s your own server – what OS are you on? Reinstalling PHP to support GD is pretty much beyond the scope of this forum, but we might be able to point you in the right direction
In reply to: [Adjust Time Zone]That is an entirely different topic, Sushubh, you need to post that as a trac ticket or on a separate forum post here with more detail.
In reply to: Integrating blogs from outside ?Importing blogs (your second bullet point) is part of WPMU and nothing to do with Buddypress. You can do this by visiting /wp-admin/import.php on your site as an admin user.
The first bullet point is something that at least person is working on, but I don’t expect to see anything released for a long time yet.
I will eat my hat if their isn’t an existing RSS widget for WordPress. Have a look through https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/.
In reply to: Customize header site wide/globallyThe ‘home’ theme only affects the very front page of your Buddypress site, as well as that main site’s blog.
Members, Groups and all the other pages are controlled by the ‘member’ theme, so you need to make your changes there.
Bonjour
Yes, it is because you or your host has the ‘open_basedir’ PHP setting. Here’s the French-language version about that setting: http://php.net/manual/fr/ini.sect.safe-mode.php#ini.open-basedir
It is stopping PHP including files. You probably need to talk to whoever provides your hosting to change this setting.
In reply to: Default Blog ThemeAnother? Yes, you can change the default theme in the admin settings. A specific BuddyPress theme? No.
In reply to: Upgrading from RC-1 to RC-2 or 1.0 Release@Enlightenmental1, @Jfcarter – version 1.0 is the first complete release version. RC2 was a release candidate.
Version 1.0 has several bug fixes RC2 does not have. There is absolutely no reason not to upgrade to Version 1.0 immediately
As discussed on irc – not atm but i’ll try to find the modified WPMU code and post it here.
@Gpo1: read my post on the last page
In reply to: Admin Bar on a new theme from scratchMake sure you have copied/merged the functions.php file too.
In reply to: Admin Bar on a new theme from scratchHave a loot at the default home theme template that comes with BP. I am not sure where BP hooks this into, but check in header.php in <head> for a func call that you might have missed.
In reply to: Upgrading from BP RC2 to v1.0 – How?There is a sticky post in this forum about this.
In reply to: subdomains for blogsAh – that’s something to remember
In reply to: threaded forum posts ?Threaded comments were introduced in wordpress 2.7 and is an option in the admin settings. A theme has to have been written to support that version of wordpress due to changes in how themes were done.
Remove buddypress and try again. If it doesn’t work it is because wpmu is not configured correctly. If you let is know here if it works with buddypress or not, maybe we can then advise more things to look at.
In reply to: subdomains for blogsYou pick either subdomains or subdirectories when you install wpmu. Clear your database and do it again.
In reply to: Upgrading from BP RC2 to v1.0 – How?That is because when WPMU tries to compare “BP RC2” to “BP v1”, it thinks the former is newer. If you are already running from svn, use svn switch to change to the 1.0 tag. I’d give the link you need here but I’m on an iPhone and copy and paste hasn’t bben invented yet.
In reply to: User Blogs not Working (actually no blogs)File a support ticket with your host and ask them.
In reply to: BP-FB Connect New NotificationBPFBC is not supported and has not been updated afaik since rc1. I suggest you post this in the much larger FBC thread.
In reply to: My Groups Page has lost layoutNP glad to help
Entirely up to you. If you want a suggestion, wait until version 1.0 comes out soon(-ish). That way means less downtime for your site.
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestVersion 1.11 should appear on the WordPress Plugin Repository within the hour. This is an interim release for further testing. Version 1.2 will come out when BuddyPress v1.0 is final
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestTo clarify the default message should be working now. What I specifically want feedback on is whether it sends an email alerting that user that they have a PM (ie like any other message)
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestThanks dude. As I posted in the fbc thread, it does not work properly with wpmu therefore welcome pack won’t work with it. I’ll release the build of welcome pack you are testing in a couple of hours.
In reply to: Welcome Pack update requestDon’t know. Works for me. Waitingto see what enlightenmental reports.
