it it possible to mod code from this thread to use it for profile pages?
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/no-index-buddypress-pages/hi, thanks, i already found this when i did some research and did a test install on my staging site, but it does not allow to make noindex settings for members and profiles, it´s all about sitemaps and seo (smartcrawl pro). and on the other site, i do not want to replace yoast at the moment.
br, Ericthanks a lot, i´ll have a look.
best would be a BP plugin/extension for Yoast SEO..
is there anyone who uses wpmudev SmartCrawl?
@r-a-y thank you for the tipp, that worked for me!
tnx, Ericwell, it does work on staging, which is strange, only the ssl/domain setup is different (wpengine) to the production setup, maybe an cookie issue?
activity stream update button and load more issue solved with fix provided by wpmudev
sill have the issues with 502 bad gateway error when logging in via BP login widget, any idea on that?
gettin closer,.. fyi, my topic seems to be related to a bug in the wpmu domain mapping plugin (“admin-ajax.php” calls causing “mixed content” issue), wpmu is working on a fix
thanx @r-a-y i even missed that one at groups activity
on the main activity stream i see a “update button” and “load more” button but they don´t work 🙁
i am not sure if it is a theme issue, is it?
i have the same issue also using other themes,..Hi,
does someone use the code from @imath to replace the link to the article with the topic posted to de activity stream and link to the article?
doesn´t work for me.i am also still looking for code to add the featured image of an custom post type article to the activity stream..
tnx, Eric
hi there,
may i ask someone to help me with a mod of this script?i would need to autojoin my users who register a site/blog on my buddypress multisite install to a specific group (group for bloggers).
how can i filter the script to only autojoin them?
thanks a lot for your help!
br, ericcaptcha and math tools do not really help fighting spam.
spammer register manually and then feed your blog automatically remote via xmlrpc.
i am running a wordpress mu + buddypress site and had about 40 spammer-registrations a day with lots of spam. then i deactivated xmlrpc via renaming xmlrpc.php in wp-root, result was only user registrations (without content spam). about four days later spammer registrations were reduced from 40 to about three a day (easy to delete), seems that the spam-apps noticed that the rpc doesn´t work and deleted my site from their targetlists, entering their messages manually is to complicated for them….
well, would be a nice optional addon, wouldn´t it?
