In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and Discussion
@foxly Thanks, I’ll install the Beta. BTW, will there eventuality be an option to limit file size uploads?
In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and DiscussionThanks for the great plugin.
I don’t know if this was suggested in a previous post but it would be a bandwidth/space saver if there were an option for the Admin to set a maximum file size limit per photo.

In reply to: BP Album+ || New Features Requests and DiscussionHi,
I’d like is to have the order that images appear on the page reversed so that the last one uploaded appears first on the page
I just installed 1.7 (stable) and would like to know how to accomplish this also. What code would I need to modify or add?
Thanks,
Gene

In reply to: Strange behavior in forum post freshness@r-a-y “If the activity works and it’s only a forum thing, it’s probably a bbPress bug”. As I told jivany, I think when the server went offline today, something at their end must have gone haywire becuase the forum post freshness was OK before the crash. I’ll report this incident to my host.
BTW, I was taking a look at my DB via phpmyadmin and after I checked the tables, I got the following message in my wp_users table:
“The following indexes appear to be equal and one of them should be removed: user_login, user_login_key”
So now I’m a bit baffled…
In reply to: Strange behavior in forum post freshness@jivany “Yes, I think it has something to do with your date or timezone not being set properly on your server”. Now that you mention it, my host went offline for about 20 mins. or so today. I wonder if the problem is not at their end, my timezone settings are fine on my WP installs.
In reply to: Forum tags – I can add them, but can’t see themThe only way you can edit or remove tags is via phpmyadmin in the wp_bb_terms DB table.
In reply to: Forum tags – I can add them, but can’t see them@stwc etivite (rich!) has a forum tag cloud in the sidebar of every page of his site (http://etivite.com/). I wonder if he’ll release this as a plugin (fingers crossed)…
In reply to: Stop redirecting to the WP login page?Hmm, how do I get my page slug inside <?php echo site_url( ‘thenameofyourfile.php’, ‘login’ ) ?> to replace thenameofyourfile.php?
In reply to: Setting a Custom Header logo to home?Ditto…
In reply to: Forum tags – I can add them, but can’t see themClick on forums and you’ll see a tag cloud under your name. BTW, I wish there were a sidebar widget for this that would show this on every page.
In reply to: Stop redirecting to the WP login page?@ozgirl57 Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
BTW, could <?php echo site_url( ‘thenameofyourfile.php’, ‘login’ ) ?> be used to simply display a message such as “Oops, you have entered an incorrect username or password, please try again” in a page (instead of a PHP file) and change the ‘thenameofyourfile.php’ to the page slug?
Thanks,
Gene
In reply to: Forum? The only way you can have this (for now) is to do a “standard” bbPress install. Please use the search function, there are quite a few threads on that topic that’ll help you accomplish this..
@etiviti Thanks, I had a glimpse at the code and it’s quite complex, I’ll leave things as they are.
Cheers,
Gene
In reply to: Skeleton Key: Login as any user pluginIn reply to: bp-default theme options missing in 1.2.3?That’s quite unusual, did you report this on Trac? If there are no options available for single install users, BP won’t be much use to us.
In reply to: Skeleton Key: Login as any user plugin@Mike Pratt Hey Mike. I have a BP/WP single install and without Skeleton Key, I can only edit basic info (name, nickname & email addy) via the standard WP admin panel (user -> edit). When using Skeleton Key, I can edit the user’s custom fields, avatar, notification, etc..
@Chouf1 If I understand correctly, I can insert those 2 CSS properties anywhere in my stylesheet and if someone registers with a username such as JohnDoe, the won’t be an error message?
Salut,
Gene
In reply to: Editing Extended Profiles in Admin PanelI use a slightly modified snippet of code found here:
Being that I do want my front page to show, I used Peterverkooijen code and added:
BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG == $bp->current_component ||so guests can’t access the activity stream.
The last thing I’d like to accomplish is to modify:
bp_core_redirect( get_option('home') . "/register" );to a page which would read “You have stumbled upon a Member’s only area. Please login or register”
I have created such a page and changed the redirection to it but the only caveat is that the page title appears in the top menu.
Is there a way to get around this?
Thanks,
Gene

Thank you, everything works fantastically well and I’m really grateful that you went out of your way to help me out.
Thanks again,
