Not sure about anyone else but this gave my server an internal 500 error after updating and my VPS CPUs are always at 100% when anything buddypress is loaded, the website calms down after a few mins and if I load anything from buddypress the CPU skyrockets again into a grinding hault!
There must be some dodgy SQL statements or something happening.
I dont see why it shouldn’t be server side, Ive tried both V3 and V2 Captcha using the plugin “Advanced noCaptcha & invisible Captcha Settings” as I can actually see the Captcha be added to the buddypress register page, but Im still getting 10-20 fake registrations a day!
what one do you recommend?
Hi @wackao I already have a captcha on my register page, which is why its confusing why I have so many bots, I just deleted 1000 groups!
This is my register pageIm wondering if there is another way these bots are signing up, like an API or somehow the default wordperss signup.php? I am not sure
Bump
Bump, this is still an issue.
@danbp I think that he was once a member and then he was kicked out of the group, but im not 100% sure, any way I can check?
@r-a-y Yes I did!
This 2.1.1 Update was supose to fix this issue, but it has not. Im still stuck with a broken slider.When I disable the BuddyPress Template Pack, it works again, This seems like its no longer supported, So how do you get the themeing for buddypress if the wordpress theme does not support it?
I only get an Error thats not to do with the slider
TypeError: jq.cookie is not a function.
I added the javascript fix to my buddypress functions which didnt fix it
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-2-1-known-issues/Then I remembered I had BuddyPress Template Pack installed separately, if I deactivate this then the slider works, but then Half my website breaks! So still broken.
